Ian Kopp

Ian Kopp

President/COO

Ian D. Kopp joined Kenway in January 1998. He is responsible for the long-term strategic planning for the company. Ian oversees the daily operations of the business with all engineering, production, quality, and safety management personnel along with sales, human resources, and financial staff. A magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College, Ian also serves on the American Composite Manufacturers Association Board of Directors.

Alexander Thibodeau

Alexander Thibodeau

Director of Business Development

Alex is responsible for Kenway Composites’ overall business growth and marketing strategies. He is frequently on the road meeting new customers in new markets while also developing ongoing manufacturing opportunities in the company’s core industrial market. Alex is an adjunct faculty member at Kennebec Community College and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology as well as an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Drafting. He is also CCT certified.

Erik Grimnes

Erik Grimnes

Director of Business Development

Erik Grimnes is Business Development Manager at Kenway. Erik heads up the marine infrastructure division which has a focus on waterfront products. He has worked in the composites industry since founding Harbor Technologies in 2003. At Harbor Tech, Erik served in a variety of roles before its acquisition by Kenway in 2015. Erik received his BS from the University of Vermont.

Lynn Derouen

Fabrication Services Manager

Lynn Derouen is Product Manager of Structural Fabrication Services with over 30 years of composite and construction experience, possessing extensive knowledge of market and product development, operations and strategic planning. He is a graduate of the University of Louisiana, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology.

Carroll Armentor

Carroll Armentor

Project Estimator & Designer

Carroll Armentor is a Project Estimator and Design Draftsman of FRP Composite Fabrication Services. He has 28 years of FRP Composite Fabrication and Design. He earned an associate degree in 1986, in Drafting Technology at Southern Louisiana Community College in Lafayette, La.

Paul Dumoulin

Paul Dumoulin

Senior Project Engineer

Paul began at Kenway in 1994. He is currently in charge of estimating, design, and project management. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Paul specializes in supporting Kenway’s pulp and paper customers, with over twenty years of experience he can help our clients solve problems unique to their industry. His certifications include Certified Composite Technician (CCT), First Aid/CPR, and OSHA 10hr.

John Rand

John Rand

Senior Project Engineer

John came to Kenway in 2004. John works in engineering, design, estimating, and field crew supervision. John specializes in supporting Kenway’s pulp and paper customers in the Southeastern US. John worked in the industry several years before coming to Kenway. As a project manager, he interfaces with customers frequently. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and is certified by CCT.

Project Engineer

Nate supports shop manufacturing with a focus on infused marine infrastructure products. He manages field service work for all of Kenway’s customers. Nate received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine, and he holds an Engineer in Training Certification.

Project Engineer

Jordan is Kenway’s newest engineer and recent graduate of the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. His primary focus has been to support our Municipal customers by delivering excellent quality FRPI certified storage tanks.

Brandon Pelkey

Brandon Pelkey

Production Manager

Brandon is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations for Kenway Composites, including all equipment, labor, materials, methods, and facilities requirements for both the Augusta- based manufacturing operations as well as field installations. Brandon is CCT certified.

Michele Sucy

Michele Sucy

HR Assistant/Office Administrator

Michele Sucy is HR/Office Administrator with over 25 years of experience in all aspects of business management. She is a graduate of the University of Augusta, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Fraud Examination and Business Management.
